The Mayor is elected for a term of four years.

City Council consists of five Council members elected at large for overlapping terms of four years. The Council shall appoint by majority vote a City Clerk to serve at the discretion of the Council, and shall establish by resolution the Clerk’s compensation. The City Clerk is the Treasurer and performs all functions required of the position of Treasurer. Council shall appoint by majority vote a City Attorney to serve at the discretion of the Council and shall establish by resolution the City Attorney’s compensation. Monthly meetings are held the second Monday of every month starting at 7:00 p.m at the library basement.
